To continue to vividly tell the story of the People's City in Changbai and take comrades of the "Old Poplar Tree Speakers Group" as examples to strive to write a new chapter of Changbai's pragmatic and pioneering spirit, Changbai New Village Subdistrict held a central group study session of the Party Working Committee on the afternoon of January 14, inviting Ni Laidi, the head of the "Old Poplar Tree Speakers Group," to give a special lecture. Sun Hui, Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the People's Congress Working Committee of the Subdistrict Office, presided over the meeting and delivered a speech. Looking back at the past 2024, Changbai subdistrict has achieved remarkable results. First, work is being promoted in an orderly manner. The street, focusing on the "three great articles" and targeting the goal of "Ankang Harmony and Beauty, Vibrant Changbai," has made concerted efforts in economic development, community governance, people's livelihood security, beautiful home, team building, and other aspects, completing the goals and tasks of the three-year action plan as scheduled. Second, talent cultivation is effective. Young and middle-aged cadres have played their advantages and shown their demeanor on platforms such as Block 228, the "Four Centers," and Jingyu East Road. Under the exemplary leadership of the "Old Poplar Tree Speakers Group," the 228 Youth Speakers Group "voices" itself into the masses, achieving a "two-way rush" with community construction. Third, innovative development is promising. At the theme conference on practicing the People's City concept held by the Subdistrict Office, we talked about the achievements of the past five years and the future planning blueprint, showing the vibrant face of Changbai subdistrict. The past achievements have not been easy to come by. It is believed that under the spiritual guidance of the "Old Poplar Trees" who never stop and forge ahead bravely, Changbai subdistrict will achieve greater development.

Innovate Methods, Harmonize with "Silver Power," and Enhance the Higher Quality of Happy Changbai Subdistrict

In the past five years, the "Old Poplar Tree Speakers Group" has actively embraced the Internet, insisted on learning new technologies, using new media, and entering new fields. When facing new problems and new challenges, the older generation has "set an example" for us. We should use innovative thinking to promote the comprehensive development of work. First, we must drive essential improvement with brands. Relying on the advantages of "three major" resource endowments, using the "three-ring" Party building to lead the "three-transformation" development mechanism, promoting the "three beauties" renewal, and using the "three-circle" planning to promote the "three news" quality and efficiency improvement. Second, we must achieve innovative improvement by both abolishing and establishing. We must meticulously implement the Jingyu East Road Smokes Street, civil affairs fact-finding meetings, Fengqiao-style street block, convention governance, and other tasks to comprehensively lay a solid foundation for Changbai's innovative development.

First, we must anchor goals and strive to make progress in the overall situation and trend. We must accurately locate Changbai in the new round of Yangpu District's development, take the creation of the Ring USST Innovation and Humanities Street Block as a starting point to accelerate the release of high-quality university resources and form a new pattern of street-university joint development; take the creation of the Yandong "complete community" as a driving force to explore models for the renovation of old residential areas and make people's lives more quality-oriented; take striving to create a national demonstration elderly-friendly street as a priority to continuously improve the level of public service supply and make people's lives warmer. Third, we must adhere to the principle of prioritizing career and taking responsibility in team building.
