The Fifth Anniversary of the "People's City": Residents' Representatives Symposium Held for the Complete Renovation of No. 1-9 and No. 12-27, Lane 1039, Huangxing Road August 16,2024

This year marks the fifth anniversary of the proposal of the "People's City" concept. Over these five years, the District Housing Management Bureau has always insisted on implementing the Party's leadership in all aspects and links of housing management work, taking people's livable and comfortable housing as the primary objective. In the complete renovation of old housing, the final battle of old renovation, the improvement of the housing security system, the construction of "Beautiful Homes," and other housing management work, the bureau has continuously enhanced people's well-being, effectively protected and improved people's livelihood, and constantly met people's yearning for a better life with practical actions.

To deeply implement the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 12th CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and the Ninth Plenary Session of the 11th CPC District Committee, the District Complete Renovation Office accelerated the promotion of the renewal (demolition and reconstruction) project of the old housing at No. 1-9 and No. 12-27, Lane 1039, Huangxing Road, winning the final battle of the small beam and thin plate in Yangpu District. Recently, a symposium for residents' representatives of Lane 1039, Huangxing Road, was held at the Huangxing Neighborhood Committee to fully listen to the opinions and suggestions of the residents on the complete renovation of No. 1-9 and No. 12-27 in the community. The District Complete Renovation Office, Kongjiang Sub-district, Waibaixin Group, design unit, and community residents' representatives attended the symposium.

The residents' representatives expressed their gratitude and urgent expectation for this complete renovation, and at the same time put forward opinions and suggestions on the setting of above-ground and underground parking spaces and the overall environment of the community after the renovation. The design unit introduced the overall idea of the project design scheme and explained the relevant design laws, regulations, policies, and standards one by one.

The Waibaixin Group introduced the basic situation of the project plan, as well as relevant processes such as signing, viewing houses, and rewards. Residents consulted with the working staff on the details of the renovation and put forward relevant opinions and suggestions. The on-site working staff provided professional, patient, and detailed answers one by one.

The Kongjiang Sub-district said that it will further listen to the reasonable demands of the residents through various channels, solidifying the mass foundation for the smooth completion of the renovation of the small beam and thin plate at Lane 1039, Huangxing Road.

The District Complete Renovation Office earnestly collected the opinions and suggestions put forward by the residents, and studied them together with the implementation body Waibaixin, the design unit, the Kongjiang Sub-district, and others, continuously optimizing the renewal implementation plan and striving to gather the broadest consensus of the residents, laying a good foundation and drawing a good blueprint for the next step of work.

Next, the member units of the District Complete Renovation Office will continue to listen to the people's voices, respect the people's will, and conform to the people's hearts, promoting the entry into force of the project at No. 1-9 and No. 12-27, Lane 1039, Huangxing Road, in an orderly and efficient manner, allowing residents to realize their "dream of comfortable living" as soon as possible.
