This year marks the 5th anniversary of the important concept of people's city proposed by General Secretary Xi Jinping. To thoroughly implement the people-centered service philosophy, and to further enhance the expertise and communication skills of the community assistance consultant team, the Wujiaochang Sub-district Community Affairs Service Center recently carried out an empowerment training for assistance consultants, with 32 participants.

The training provided an in-depth analysis of key policies, including minimum living standards, support for the severely disabled and unemployed, comprehensive assistance and the protection of minors. The focus was on the detailed requirements for the review of minimum living standards, the identification of migrant and left-behind children, and the importance of attention to detail in the service process for social workers. It also highlighted that each consultant must ensure legal and compliant operations and keep records of pertinent information.

Zhou Yujiao, a district golden consultant and the head of the assistance group at the service center, shared her years of work experience, offering highly effective work ideas and service guidelines to the 32 community assistance consultants.

She hoped that everyone could engage in social assistance with greater passion, and care for all those in need with love, patience and a sense of responsibility. Her words acknowledged the diligent efforts of social workers and inspired the participants to face their work positively, treating each individual with kindness.

To help the consultants better manage potential setbacks, the event featured a special lecture by professional psychologist Xiang Wei on "Self-Care for Frontline Social Workers".

Through case analysis and interactive games, the session guided the attendees in monitoring their emotional well-being and self-assessment to maintain a positive outlook towards their work and those they serve.

This empowerment training has significantly enhanced the professionalism of community assistance consultants and revitalized community assistance efforts. Looking ahead, Wujiaochang will persist in deepening the people-oriented assistance philosophy, strengthen the community assistance consultant workforce, improve the capabilities of grassroots consultants, and promote the high-quality development of social assistance, aiming to provide more targeted and warmer social assistance.
