"Low-altitude Economy" Takes Off: Yangpu Shines at WDC 2025 May 29,2025

To speed up the development of Yangpu's low-altitude economy and upgrade the regional industrial chain, Yangpu has launched a series of promotional events targeting the low-altitude economy. Recently, at the 2025 World Drone Congress (WDC 2025), Yangpu hosted a special industry promotion event, inviting over 30 key players from the field.

In recent years, Yangpu has actively capitalized on the national strategy for the low-altitude economy. By offering targeted policies and expanding application scenarios, we have embraced the low-altitude economy as a key driver for regional growth and are fully committed to its development. The promotional event showcased Yangpu's unique strengths, including its profound four century-old legacies, strategic location, innovative drive, supportive policies, and excellent service environment. It also warmly invited entrepreneurs to join hands in shaping a bright future for the low-altitude economy in Yangpu.

The promotion event highlighted that Shenzhen and Shanghai are set to enhance their cross-regional collaboration in technology and application chains. Together, they will delve into emerging areas like Urban Air Mobility (UAM). There was also a strong call for policy coordination between the two cities to establish a robust low-altitude service data network linking the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Yangtze River Delta.

Participants from Shenzhen and Shanghai, including companies like Shenzhen Zexworld Future, Shanghai Graham Aviation Technology, presented their latest technological breakthroughs and applications. Local representatives from Yangpu's commercial buildings and the Postal Savings Bank explored how the low-altitude economy intersects with local industries and future scenarios. The discussion was lively, focusing on the current state of the low-altitude economy and how collaborative innovation between government and businesses can propel its growth.

WDC 2025 drew over 10,000 experts, scholars, and businesses from 103 countries and regions, featuring more than 15,000 cutting-edge technologies. Yangpu took the opportunity to engage with leading low-altitude economy firms like EHang Intelligent, Hawa International Aviation, GDU Technology, and Shenzhen United Aircraft Technology, as well as local standout Crostars. Yangpu highlighted its vibrant industrial ecosystem and favorable business environment, warmly inviting top corporate talents to join us and thrive together.

During this event, participants visited key sites in Shenzhen, including the Bao'an Urban Air Mobility Operation Demonstration Center and the Bao'an Low-Altitude Economy Industrial Public Service Center, as well as Shenzhen Smart Drone UAV Co., Ltd. They explored how low-altitude economy technologies are being innovated and applied in scenarios and how the industrial ecosystem is being built. The visitors also engaged in detailed discussions about policy support, industrial collaboration, and commercialization.

As the sole central urban district among Shanghai's 7 pilot zones for the future space industry cluster and a core functional area of the Shanghai Technology Innovation Center, Yangpu has already made early moves in the low-altitude economy.
