A delegation led by Alexandre Amorim, President of Brazil's Federal Data Processing Service (SERPRO), recently paid a visit to the iconic Cloud Workshop in Yangpu. Heads of the Yangpu Commission of Commerce (YCC), STI Group, and the Brazil Center extended a warm welcome and engaged in discussions on potential collaborations between SERPRO and Yangpu.
Wu Jie, Coordinator of the Brazil Center, provided an in-depth overview of the center's history, its strategic role, and its ambitious plans for the future. The center is poised to evolve into a dynamic platform, bridging the gap for Brazilian companies seeking to tap into the Chinese market and Chinese enterprises aiming to expand their presence in Brazil.
Xi Rongqing, Vice President of STI Group, highlighted Yangpu's vibrant innovation ecosystem and a dense network of prestigious universities. He emphasized that Brazilian companies choosing to set foot in this dynamic district will be greeted with the most supportive and holistic services from STI Group and Changyang Campus. Looking ahead, he expressed keen anticipation for deeper engagement with SERPRO, with hopes of fostering mutual growth in technology and digital innovation, and eagerly awaiting the blossoming of their collaborative efforts.
YCC highlighted that Yangpu has become a hub for the headquarters of emerging online economy enterprises, boasting substantial industrial strengths. SERPRO, as the trailblazer in Brazil's government data management sector, is poised to introduce innovative models and valuable insights to the district's burgeoning digital economy through its business expansion.
Alexandre inquired about Yangpu's swift progress in the digital realm and its constructive role in China-Brazil innovation collaboration. He extended his heartfelt congratulations and high expectations for the development of the Brazil Center. Alexandre conveyed his eagerness to forge a robust partnership with Yangpu in the near future. Given SERPRO's status as a Brazilian state-owned enterprise, he underscored the significance of reciprocal exchanges and experience sharing with China. He believed that collaborating with Yangpu will boost Brazilian companies' brand value and broaden the cooperative horizons between China and Brazil.
Cloud Workshop, home to the Brazil Center, saw the arrival of Yangpu Customs at the end of 2024. Presently, China's Customs has inked agreements on mutual recognition of AEOs with 58 countries and regions across 32 economies, including Brazil. This move has dramatically streamlined bilateral trade between the two countries.
