Yangpu Riverside recently came alive with a unique blend of cultural walking and flash mob performances: the air filled with the lively energy of situational dramas that brought history to life, the rhythmic clatter of traditional clapper performances, and the soul-stirring notes of saxophone music. Add to that the vibrant mix of singing, playing, and dynamic dancing. The "Yangpu Riverside Cultural Legacy Series: Reviving the Traces of Riverside Culture" that ran for six months culminated in a joyous finale.

The flash mob performances, with the theme "Reviving the Traces of Riverside Culture", blended a variety of artistic expressions. Set against the backdrop of Yangpu Riverside's rich industrial heritage architecture, these performances seamlessly integrated with cultural walks, aiming to showcase diverse cultures, safeguard historical legacy, and heighten public consciousness about the importance of preserving Yangpu Riverside's cultural heritage.

Children, acting as both guides and performers, brought history to life with their vibrant renditions. Historical scenes of studying in France from Huangpu Dock were vividly reenacted through drama, while traditional clapper performances echoed with timeless charm. The soulful saxophone melodies and immersive musical performances captivated the audience, and the energetic street dance of Ne Zha set the stage ablaze. These young participants not only carried forward the torch of cultural heritage but also infused Riverside with the warmth and vibrancy of their youthful spirit.

As they explored the "world's largest riverside industrial exhibition belt in existence", the children delved deep into the layers of history embedded in the area's industrial architecture. Each step along the way was a journey through time, allowing them to understand the significance of the various protection levels on these historical buildings.

Though the event has drawn to a close, the legacy of cultural preservation endures. Over the course of the activities, participants engaged in two historical and cultural surveys, five cultural walks, two lectures, and two creative cultural events. These experiences were designed to offer a profound and immersive understanding of Yangpu's rich cultural heritage. The citizens and visitors who took part have become the torchbearers of this cultural mission, actively contributing to the ongoing narrative of Yangpu Riverside as both practitioners and advocates of cultural inheritance.
