To further boost consumer confidence, seize development opportunities, and promote high-quality regional economic development, on the afternoon of February 8, Xue Kan, Secretary of the CPC Yangpu District Committee; together with Zhou Haiying, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Yangpu District Committee and Head of Yangpu District, convened a meeting to plan for the development of the live streaming economy in Yangpu with a focus on the construction of a live streaming economy agglomeration zone in Yangpu. Ni Bing, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Yangpu District Committee and Executive Deputy Head of Yangpu District, was in attendance. Liu Jinyuan, Deputy Head of Yangpu District, presided over the meeting.

The meeting noted that the live streaming economy, as an innovative economic form in the digital era, holds immense potential for growth. Currently, Shanghai is actively building an international live streaming economy hub and has rolled out a three-year action plan to drive the high-quality development of the live streaming economy. Yangpu's robust digital economy, with its concentration of major universities and enterprises, and a well-developed live streaming ecosystem, is well positioned to take on Shanghai's live streaming industry and vigorously develop the live streaming economy. It is timely and highly feasible to advance the construction of the live streaming economy agglomeration zone. We should actively leverage the agglomeration advantage of leading digital economy enterprises in the area, keenly capture industry development trends, grasp the laws of industry development, create new models of district-enterprise cooperation, and fully arouse the enthusiasm of enterprises, institutions, influencers, and entities to participate in the development of the live streaming economy. We should pay more attention to new demands such as the silver economy and the ACGN economy, boldly explore new consumer markets, provide targeted services, and continuously stimulate the internal driving force and creativity of the live streaming economy. We should create a sound live streaming economy ecosystem, increasing support and supply of related infrastructure such as live streaming carriers, platforms, computing power, and technology to promote the healthy development of the live streaming economy. We should continuously enhance the industrial layout, create more live streaming bases and featured live streaming scenarios in densely populated areas such as universities and business districts, and promote the coordinated development of the regional live streaming industry. We should foster a stable, transparent, and fair policy environment. Based on the operating features and development needs of live streaming economy entities, we should improve supporting measures and element guarantees, leveraging the influence of local think tanks and platform enterprises to establish and improve the rule and standard system of the live streaming economy, and continuously enhance the overall competitiveness of Yangpu's live streaming industry.

At the meeting, a head of the Shanghai Consumer Market Big Data Laboratory at Fudan University introduced the development background of the live-streaming economy across the country and the city, offering suggestions for the development of the live streaming economy in Yangpu. The Yangpu Commission of Commerce reported on the formulation of the Three-Year Action Plan for the Construction of the Live Streaming Economy Agglomeration Zone in Yangpu District. Shanghai Oriental TV Shopping Co., Ltd. shared its plan for the development of the live streaming economy.

At the meeting, the Office of the Cyberspace Affairs Commission of the CPC Yangpu District Committee, the Yangpu Development and Reform Commission, the Yangpu Commission of Commerce, the Yangpu Science, Technology and Economy Commission, the Yangpu Finance Bureau, the Yangpu Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, the Yangpu Culture and Tourism Administration, the Yangpu Administration for Market Regulation, the Yangpu Bureau of Talent Affairs, the Yangpu Data Bureau, the Yangpu Investment Promotion Office, Daqiao Sub-district, Kongjiang Road Sub-district, Changbai Xincun Sub-district, Wujiaochang Sub-district, Changhai Road Sub-district, and New Jiangwan City Sub-district shared their work practices and put forward a series of constructive opinions and suggestions on the construction of the live streaming economy agglomeration zone. Together, they contributed ideas for the development of the live streaming economy agglomeration zone in Yangpu.
