The "Yangpu Youth Voice" Lecture Group and Fudan University's "Doctoral Student Lecture Group" are collaborating to explore integrated great ideological and political education practices for minors across different education levels…

Recently, Yangpu Riverside has welcomed a group of young "storytellers". They are members of the "Yangpu Youth Voice" Lecture Group, who have been selected through the Yangpu Youth Voice All Media Talent Show, jointly organized by the Publicity Department of the CPC Yangpu District Committee, the Office of the Yangpu Committee for Promotion of Cultural and Ethical Progress, the Yangpu Education Bureau, and the CYL Yangpu District Committee over the past two years. These young talents have earned the title of "little golden microphones". The idea of using their youthful voices to tell the stories of urban development and to envision the future of a people's city has taken root in their hearts.

Over 40 minutes and across 6 riverside landmarks...At the event, students from different primary and secondary schools turned into young listeners during their winter vacation. They wandered along the riverside, following the members of the "Yangpu Youth Voice" Lecture Group, sightseeing, taking photos, and listening attentively. Seeing the children's focused expressions, Ms. Zhang, a parent, felt gratified. "This kind of practical activity is a great opportunity for them to understand and grow fond of the land they live on. It also allows them to learn from excellent peers and be inspired to strive for excellence."

This year, the Office of the Yangpu Committee for Promotion of Cultural and Ethical Progress has partnered with Fudan University to initiate the "Extracurricular Great Ideological and Political Practice Base Project for Minors". Since the beginning of the winter vacation, the "Doctoral Student Lecture Group" from Fudan University has collaborated with the "Yangpu Youth Voice" Lecture Group to explore an integrated model for primary, secondary, and higher education. They have engaged in joint learning, field study, and joint lectures to create a model of "practicing while learning, and lecturing while experiencing".

The "Yangpu Youth Voice" Lecture Group will give thematic lectures and carry out social practices at ten "Fudan-Yangpu People's City Joint Practice Bases". These bases include Original Aspiration Terminal on Qinhuangdao Road, Shanghai People's City Practice Exhibition Hall, National Anthem Gallery, Hudong Workers' Cultural Palace, Former Residence of Chen Wangdao, China Modern Press and Publication Museum, Dunhuang Contemporary Art Museum, Changbai Neighborhood 228, Guoding Branch Road Neighborhood, and Yangshupu Power Plant Historical Park. These activities, themed "People's City · Yangpu Practice" and "Original Aspiration Terminal · Red Gene", among others, will target the general public, teachers and students in Yangpu, as well as visiting delegations from other provinces and cities. Moreover, the activities have led to the creation of the "Yangpu Youth Voice · People's City" Lecture Manual. The booklet contains records of lectures, mentors' evaluations, and audience scores and feedback, which will lay the foundation for building a brand for extracurricular great ideological and political practice activities for minors.

Liu Chenyi, a member of the "Yangpu Youth Voice" Lecture Group and a fifth-grader at Dahushan Road No.1 Primary School, serves as a guide at the Yangpu Binjiang People's City Construction Planning Exhibition Hall, People's House, and Green Hill during this winter vacation. For her, this practical activity is both engaging and meaningful. "It enables me to delve deeper into the stories behind these landmarks in our district and gain a better understanding of its rich historical heritage. I'm also delighted to share what I've learned with others."

In Yangpu, such practical activities are nothing new. In recent years, Yangpu has actively encouraged young people to engage in social practice, closely integrating the moral and ideological development of minors with regional development. It has also continuously expanded the scope of educational initiatives. The "Yangpu Youth Voice" event, now in its second edition, has emerged as a vital platform for civic education, practice, and creation among minors in Yangpu.

A head of the Office of the Yangpu Committee for Promotion of Cultural and Ethical Progress noted that the "Yangpu Youth Voice" initiative has already reached 101 primary and secondary schools and over 3,000 households across the district, drawing a large number of talented and energetic young lecturers. Looking ahead, even more young people will join the lecture group to share Yangpu's stories with a broader audience, including local residents and young people.

The three-day lecture event drew numerous primary and secondary school students from various schools in Yangpu, creating a vibrant atmosphere. Through this activity, young people are sharing their love for Yangpu with their peers and, in their own ways, contributing to the development of this "people's city".
