In November 2024, the first phase of the landscape lighting enhancement project for Yangpu Inner Ring Elevated Road (from Songhuajiang Road to Yangshupu Road) was wrapped up, adding a unique charm to the area's night scenery. Simultaneously, the second phase of the project was initiated, covering the stretch from Songhuajiang Road to Miyun Road. This phase includes comprehensive night scene enhancements for the elevated road, landscaping, buildings, riverbanks, and bridges, with construction currently underway.

Ahead of the Spring Festival, the Yangpu Landscape Management Office, in collaboration with construction and supervision entities, conducted detailed site inspections to ensure construction safety and optimal placement of lighting fixtures. By considering the actual conditions of the space beneath the elevated road, adjustments were made to the installation points and methods. The project prioritizes safety while aiming for an impressive visual effect, avoiding glare to create a satisfactory landscape improvement for the public.

To address the cold and damp winter conditions in Shanghai, inspectors urged construction entities to implement anti-freezing and anti-cold measures, ensuring the warmth and safety of outdoor workers and maintaining orderly construction progress.

By 2025, the second phase will be fully completed, achieving a coherent upgrade of the landscape lighting for the Yangpu section of Inner Ring Elevated Road. A night scene lighting system themed "Block Wisdom, Colorful Future" will be unveiled, offering citizens an enhanced night-time travel and viewing experience, elevating the urban area's overall night-time image, and creating another dazzling highlight for Yangpu's night scenery.
