Enhancing International Collaboration to Empower Development of Yangpu Riverside December 13,2024
On December 11, experts from the U.S. Energy Foundation visited the central-north section of Yangpu Riverside for a survey. The team inspected key locations including Gongqing Forest Park, Shanghai Cable Factory Co., Ltd., and Fuxing Island Boatyard Park, and also toured the Yangpu Urban Planning Exhibition Hall to learn about the plans for the connection of Yangpu Riverside and the construction of its central-north section. They engaged in dialogue with relevant entities in Yangpu.
At the symposium, entities such as the Shanghai Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction Center, the Yangpu Development and Reform Commission, the Yangpu Planning and Resources Bureau, and Shanghai Yangpu Binjiang Investment and Development Group exchanged views with the visitors on topics from the preliminary research on the near-zero carbon pilot zone for urban renewal in the central-north section of Yangpu Riverside to the historical evolution of Yangpu Riverside, considerations for near-zero carbon construction along the riverfront, and the overall planning and development of Yangpu.
The team shared global best practices in fields such as clean energy, low-carbon technologies, green buildings, and industrial development. In-depth discussions were held regarding future collaborative efforts aimed at enhancing the brand influence of Yangpu Riverside and the international reputation of Yangpu.
