This year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Brazil. To further amplify the spillover and driving effects of the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE), the key handover ceremony for Brazil House took place in Yangpu on the afternoon of November 8. Present were Zhou Haiying, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Yangpu District Committee and Head of Yangpu District; Liu Jinyuan, Deputy Head of Yangpu District; Jorge Viana, President of ApexBrasil; Augusto Pestana, Consul General of Brazil in Shanghai; and Marcos Rocha, Governor of Rondônia State.

During the ceremony, Zhou handed over a golden key to George Viana, signifying the official inauguration of ApexBrasil's Shanghai office in Yangpu. The office is set to commence design and construction work promptly, symbolizing a joint tribute to the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Brazil, and a shared vision for a prosperous future. The attendees posed for a group photo, witnessing the significant moment.

The Brazil House, now ApexBrasil's largest overseas physical office, is located on within the Brazil Center on the third floor of Cloud Workshop Building. As the new location for ApexBrasil's Shanghai office, it encompasses a digital exhibition area, a product exhibition area, and a reception area, designed to provide a space for Brazilian companies to engage, network, and incubate. This dynamic platform aims to connect Brazil with the global market, showcasing the country's diverse offerings and innovative spirit.

Yangpu has leveraged its abundant scientific and educational resources and vibrant innovative and entrepreneurial environment to attract outstanding global enterprises and talents to Yangpu. It has formed strong partnerships with the Brazilian Consulate General in Shanghai and ApexBrasil to enhance international exchanges and cooperation. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of China-Brazil diplomatic relations, Yangpu has collaborated with ApexBrasil to establish Asia's first "Brazil Center", a comprehensive service platform for Brazilian companies entering the Chinese market and for Chinese companies looking to expand into the Brazilian market. This initiative will pave the way for Brazilian companies to access the Chinese market by presenting broader business opportunities, and will also create new channels for cooperation and investment for Chinese companies interested in exploring the Brazilian market. Looking ahead, Yangpu will further expand its international engagement, deepen practical cooperation, and strengthen resource sharing in economic trade, technological innovation, and cultural exchanges, promoting economic globalization towards greater openness, inclusiveness, mutual benefit, and a win-win future.
