Recently, representatives from the Parents' Committee of German School and French School of Shanghai Yangpu visited Shanghai Yangpu Science and Technology Innovation (Group) Co., Ltd. Zhu Ling, Director of YIEESC, introduced the attendees from both sides, and expressed her hope for a network of like-minded collaborators in Yangpu through this event.
Duan warmly welcomed the delegation from the German and French schools, highlighting Yangpu's "1+2+3+4" framework for an innovative modern industrial ecosystem aimed at promoting the high-quality development of industries. As a state-owned enterprise in Yangpu, STI is actively involved in the development of Yangpu's industry chain. The German and French schools, with their prime location in northern Yangpu's GKIC, boast a rich pool of educational and platform resources. With many parents working at foreign enterprises in Shanghai, these schools possess an innate advantage in international cooperation and are poised to play a pivotal role in Yangpu's industry chain. It is hoped that the two sides will evolve from being good neighbors to becoming staunch collaborative partners in the future.
Zhu Ping, General Manager of the Operation Service Center at STI Group, provided an overview of Yangpu's industrial resources.
Benjamin Bilteryst, CEO of Shanghai French School; Marcus Wassmuth, Senior Director of AHK Greater China and parent representative of German School Shanghai; and Jens Baars, representative of the Board of Directors of German took turns to shared their thoughts. They expressed their gratitude to STI Group for organizing this event, and introduced the resources available at both the French School and the German School, expressing their interest in deepening cooperation.
"The Yangpu campus of Shanghai French School has more than 600 students and families from nearly 50 countries and regions, which shows the potential for global resource linkage and future cooperative opportunities that extend beyond France," said Bilteryst.
"Since my first visit to Wujiaochang in 1994, I've witnessed its changes with each passing day, and I also believe it will get better and better," said Wassmuth. "In the current economic context, I believe that establishing closer ties can lead to a win-win."
"German School Shanghai has two campuses with families of 1,100 international students from about 40 countries, forming a rich ecosystem of resources it represents, including partnerships with major corporations like Continental and Henkel," said Baars. "I anticipate a variety of cooperative scenarios following this meeting."
