As night fell in Paris, a pivotal match for the honor of Chinese table tennis unfolded in the men's singles final. Yangpu's pride, Fan Zhendong, won a resounding victory over Sweden's Truls Möregårdh 4-1. This win not only earned him a treasured Olympic gold, but also defended the prestige of the Chinese table tennis team.
