As night fell in Paris, a pivotal match for the honor of Chinese table tennis unfolded in the men's singles final. Yangpu's pride, Fan Zhendong, won a resounding victory over Sweden's Truls Möregårdh 4-1. This win not only earned him a treasured Olympic gold, but also defended the prestige of the Chinese table tennis team.

At that very moment, in Yangpu, many eyes were glued to screens, hearts beating with the rhythm of the game. In Baiyangdian Football Fields' multifunctional hall, illuminated by bright lights and filled with a bustling crowd, Xue Kan, Secretary of the CPC Yangpu District Committee; government officials, and nearly 100 representatives from all walks of life assembled to witness the historic moment.
