On July 18, Xue Kan, Secretary of the CPC Yangpu District Committee, met with Lou Xiangping, Party Secretary, Chairman and General Manager of China Mobile Communications Group Shanghai Company Limited (Shanghai Mobile). The two sides exchanged views on further deepening cooperation. Present were Liu Jinyuan, Deputy Head of Yangpu District; and Wang Guanghua, Member of the Party Committee, Director and Deputy General Manager of Shanghai Mobile.

Xue expressed his gratitude to Shanghai Mobile for its permanent concern, support and active involvement in the economic and social development of Yangpu, highlighting the district's all-out efforts to advance innovative development and create new practices for the people's city. He hoped that the district and the company would strengthen communication and coordination, exploring broader cooperation in new infrastructure construction, diversification of application scenarios and full-scale digital transformation. He emphasized the pursuit of more sustainable urban renewal models, and the identification of synergies in digital empowerment of industrial transformation and upgrading, innovations in public services and social governance, among others.

Lou thanked Yangpu for its concern and assistance in the development of Shanghai Mobile. Yangpu boasts a concentration of universities, talents and technological resources, as well as a strong innovation atmosphere, he said. It has been committed to serving the high-quality development of the digital economy, characterized by robust economic vitality and significant potential. Shanghai Mobile will fully leverage its strengths in AI, big data and computing power, actively utilize its data mining capabilities, base itself and deepen operations in Yangpu, thereby contributing to the district's digital transformation and high-quality development.
