2nd Shanghai International Carbon Neutrality Expo Kicks Off: Highlights of Yangpu Pavilion June 07,2024
The 2nd Shanghai International Carbon Neutrality Expo opened at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre on June 5, and will last till June 8. Yangpu participated in the event together with a number of companies. With a total exhibition area of 200,000 square meters, the event aims to showcase the latest technologies and products in various fields such as carbon neutrality industry chain, new energy vehicles, rail transit, mold technology, heat treatment equipment, lubricant products and application technologies.
Let's take a look at the highlights of Yangpu Pavilion at the expo.
With the theme "Green Yangpu, Technology Empowerment", the pavilion covers a range of fields such as green buildings, green transportation, green materials, green finance, circular economy, green design, green demonstration and green intelligence. It offers a comprehensive display of the distinctive features of Yangpu's green and low-carbon industry, along with its achievements in digital and green transformation. It features 11 representative green and low-carbon companies from Yangpu, and includes a dedicated area for communication and business negotiation among participants.
STEX: Leveraging strengths to promote the commercialization of technological achievements
The Shanghai Technology Exchange (STEX), established in 1993, is the first permanent national technology market and national technology transfer demonstration institution jointly established by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. STEX commenced operations on October 28, 2020, aiming to create a core trading system, legally organize transactions of technological achievements and technical services, offer one-stop transaction settlement and transaction certification services, build a hub for innovation resources, and promote the commercialization of technological achievements. The cumulative transaction volume of STEX has surpassed 39.5 billion yuan to date.
In late December 2023, the Low Carbon Board of STE was launched. Relying on the strengths of STEX as an element market platform, the board was established with focus on sectors such as carbon policies, carbon activities, carbon technologies, carbon services, carbon finance and carbon experts, aiming to improve the service system and the function of incubation demonstration, pilot a low-carbon green technology trade index, explore the establishment of a green demonstration zone for the transformation of ecological and environmental technology achievements in the Yangtze River Delta, and create a number of typical cases of transactions and applications of technological achievements that produce social value.
CEO: Turning waste treatment plants into energy resource factories
The "Hydrogen Production - Hydrogen Storage - Combined Heat and Power Supply" full chain application research project of urban sewage plants is aimed at the future energy structure and the goal of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality. Guided by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, it is a leading demonstration project involving CEO, Chengtou Water and other leading industrial companies in Shanghai.
Sited at Shanghai Bailonggang Wastewater Treatment Plant, the largest of its kind in Asia, the project uses the photovoltaic power generated by the plant to electrolyze regenerated water for hydrogen production, and uses biogas from anaerobic digestion of sludge for hydrogen production. It integrates safe hydrogen storage technology, hydrogen fuel cells and scenarios of efficient hydrogen use, setting a global precedent for the full chain application and circular economy demonstration of "green hydrogen production - solid state recovery - combined heat and power supply" in wastewater treatment plants.
Dada Express: Three key advantages of unmanned delivery
Unmanned delivery stands out in the realm of instant delivery with its three key advantages: cost effectiveness, robust stability and wide applicability. At the exhibition, Dada Express emphasized the concept of unmanned delivery.
"Xiao Lan", a model already in routine commercial operation, enhances courier efficiency and maintains reliable service even in severe weather. In addition to everyday deliveries, the latest offering "Xiao Bai" has the advanced capability to interact with elevators and pass turnstiles, delivering items directly to customers' hands.
Nalinv: An exterior film with a decade-long guarantee
Conventional window films typically endure only one to two years when exposed to complex and harsh outdoor environment, and due to the high complexity and cost of window tinting and frequent replacements that lead to a mismatch between transformation costs and energy efficiency, widespread use of such films are greatly restricted.
Building upon automotive window films, Nalinv introduced an architectural exterior film that surmounts weather resistance challenges. After passing stringent weather resistance tests by the Shanghai Research Institute of Building Sciences, it is projected that the film's performance will degrade by no more than 5% after two decades, up to the national standards. The company also offers a decade-long quality guarantee, providing free replacements for any quality-related problems within this period. Besides, the film can reduce air conditioning energy consumption by 36.1%, which is over 2.28 times more efficient than ordinary glass interior films.
This is a grand event about green ecology and technological innovation, where numerous companies gather to embrace a path of carbon neutrality, showcasing the impressive strides China has made in green and low-carbon development. Looking ahead, Yangpu will keep to the path of green growth, injecting endless impetus for the upgrading of the green economy.
