Surrounded by waterfront landscape, the project enjoys the prime location of the Huangpu River. We learned from the Yangpu Major Project Office that the main structure of the CECEP Shanghai Center that integrates office buildings and commercial buildings had been topped out and entered the final stage of electromechanical installation. With all resources in place, the project is expected to be fully completed this year.

Beautiful glass curtain walls, ascending and descending lifts, fire pipes being laid…On April 25, we saw on the construction site of the CECEP Shanghai Center integrating office buildings and commercial buildings that more than 600 workers were working on respective posts as scheduled. By the end of 2023, three towers of the project had been topped out. The project has fully entered the stage of electromechanical installation, decoration and curtain wall engineering.

The curtain walls of the commercial podium are under construction, and the same works will be coming soon for the three towers, according to Zhao Jingshi, Deputy Chief Engineer of the CECEP Project of China Construction Eighth Engineering Division Corp. Ltd. (CSCEC 8). "The buildings are designed by Zaha Hadid Architects with complicated overall shape," he said. "To see that the curtain walls are installed smoothly, we've done a lot at the early stage, such as detailed design, sample making, determination of construction technology parameters and construction technologies, laying a foundation for future massive curtain wall construction."

"Ecology, humanities and landscape": the construction sites in Yangpu have always impressed visitors for their orderliness. Whether it is walls, entries and exits, or construction nameplates, dust control and noise control, the standard of proper construction has been raised and fine management has been strengthened all time. On the site, we saw the use of intelligent sprinkler, green planting, watering and other means for dust control.

Wang Yao, a synthesis engineer for the CECEP Project of CSCEC 8, said spring is a key stage for dust prevention and control. "The site measures are intended to reduce the impact on the sanitary environment of the residential areas around while protecting the construction environment."

With a total floor area of 219,000 square meters, the project will become a project that integrates office buildings and commercial buildings, including 3 independent first-grade office buildings, 2 business centers, 1 protective historical building, 1 reconstructed building and basements.

According to the functional position of the core area of the southern part of Yangpu Riverside Development Belt, relying on the Belt and Road Initiative, and the strategy for the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta, this place will bring in emerging industries such as new energy, carbon peaking, carbon neutrality, energy conservation and environmental protection, green industry fund, Internet, cloud computing and circular economy, to help build the best place to implement the important concept of the people's city.
