On April 17, the Inaugural Conference of Industry Self-Regulation and Coordination Committee of Shanghai Internet Industry Federation (SIIF) was held at B·Link, Yangpu. Present were Jiang Xun, President of SIIF; Yu Minxiao, Deputy Director of the Office of the Cyberspace Affairs Commission of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and Vice President of SIIF; and Lu Gang, Member of the Standing Committee and Director of the Publicity Department of the CPC Yangpu District Committee.

At the conference, the

were approved, the list of chairperson and vice chairpersons was announced, and the plaque was unveiled for the permanency of the professional committee in Yangpu. The heads of the Office of the Cyberspace Affairs Commission of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, SIIF and the Office of the Cyberspace Affairs Commission of the CPC Yangpu District Committee attended the conference together with the representatives of nearly 60 Internet companies, including Bilibili, Meituan, miHoYo, Mei One, Xiaohongshu, Dewu, Pingduoduo, Ximalaya, SenseTime and Guan An Info.

Under the guidance of the Office of the Cyberspace Affairs Commission of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, the Industry Self-Regulation and Coordination Committee of SIIF will focus on promoting industry self-regulation, coordinating resolution of disputes through communication, carrying out education on the rule of law and providing policy advice, vigorously implement the "self-regulation pact", and coordinate to resolve disputes, so as to promote the healthy development of the Internet industry in Shanghai, and push for the creation of a sound network ecosystem.

The new generation is becoming "digital aborigines" that are always online, paths such as online shopping and entertainment are becoming increasingly mature, it is non-negligible to pay attention to and improve the Internet industrial ecology and the consumption environment. In this regard, Chen Qingyang, President and Editor-in-Chief of Dewu, said, "We also suffered from infringement last year, when relevant departments at all levels offered us strong support. The establishment of the professional committee has provided a new channel for private Internet companies to protect their rights, and created a better network public opinion atmosphere and business environment."

How to keep the Internet ecology clear? Cyberspace administrations have been making great efforts in this respect. "Over the past year, we've found out and analyzed network infringements involving local companies, designed a guide for online reporting of Internet infringements according to relevant policies and work rules, and established a special zone to report false corporate information and dispose negative corporate information for 20 local platforms," said Yan Yan, Head of New Media Research at the Shanghai Internet News Research Center (Shanghai Internet Illegal and Harmful Information Reporting Center). "As a next step, we'll work with the Industry Self-Regulation and Coordination Committee of SIIF, to effectively safeguard the lawful rights and interests of companies and entrepreneurs on the Internet."
