Shanghai's first Mirage by MGM moves into AXIOM Tower B, Yangpu.

Recently, Tishman Speyer announced the conclusion of a hotel management contract with Diaoyutai MGM Hospitality to operate Mirage by MGM at AXIOM, a twin tower landmark in Yangpu. The hotel is moving into AXIOM Tower B and scheduled to open in 2027.

 

AXIOM in New Jiangwan City, Yangpu comprises twin towers with a height of 280 meters and 250 meters respectively, as well as their annexes. Tower A was completed in 2023, Tower B is expected to be topped out in 2025, and the twin towers integrating super Grade-A offices, five-star hotels, boutique commerce, theatres and shared green space will create a new city skyline.

We have learned that Mirage by MGM Shanghai to move into AXIOM Tower B, Yangpu will become a vibrant and trendy destination. As an iconic brand of MGM Resorts International, Mirage by MGM, inspired by the values of modernity, vibrancy and fashion, ingeniously integrates the vitality of modern fashion and the atmosphere of entertainment into hospitality.

 

AXIOM Tower B is a 56-story building, which consists of a hotel (1F-18F) with 205 rooms, as well as meeting and event space, fitness facilities and other auxiliary facilities. The dining space on the fifth floor features specialty restaurants, bars and an outdoor terrace connected to the swimming pool, creating a unique and stylish atmosphere. The multi-function banquet hall on the first floor, which can host various events and small shows, was designed to create a unique contemporary entertainment experience.

AXIOM injects new life vitality for the innovative development of Yangpu

 

Previously, we experienced the splendor of AXIOM Tower A as the highest building in Yangpu. Ole Scheeren, a world-renowned architect, was invited to join the design of the tower. Rather than the conventional design of high-rise buildings, the design team adopted a creative approach of core tube offset, to maximize space flexibility and the use of ultra-high space, which is a rare case of design and construction in China and even in the world.

 

As part of the twin tower landmark, AXIOM Tower B not only provides super Grade-A office space, but also features theaters, commerce and creative catering, as well as service-oriented ancillary facilities, injecting new life vitality for the innovative development of Yangpu.

 

The AXIOM twin tower project is the last part of The Springs integrated community. Tishman Speyer started the stage-by-stage development of The Springs in 2011. With a total ground floor area of 900,230 square meters, the project includes Grade-A offices, upscale residences, star hotels, catering & retail, and cultural & recreational facilities. Located in New Jiangwan City, Yangpu, the project features distinctive public green spaces, gardens, playgrounds and other outdoor open spaces.
