On the afternoon of June 18, the Party Secretary Lin Zaiyong of Shanghai Normal University, Vice President Zhang Zhengrong of Shanghai Normal University, the Party Secretary Xie Jian’gang of Yangpu District, Deputy Party Secretary and Mayor Xue Kan of Yangpu District, and Vice Mayor Wang Hao of Yangpu District attended the inauguration ceremony of the Primary School.

In 2010, Yangpu District signed an education cooperation agreement with Shanghai Normal University, which has achieved fruitful results in the construction of training base and personnel training over the past ten years. The inauguration of Yangpu Binjiang Experimental Primary School is an important move of both parties to continue their strategic cooperation and further realize the joint development of fundamental education and higher education. Relevant officials of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Education, Shanghai Normal University and Yangpu District Bureau of Education jointly unveiled the five cooperative projects.

Yangpu Binjiang Experimental Primary School Affiliated to Shanghai Normal University was originally known as Neijiang Road Primary School in Yangpu District. The CPC Yangpu District Committee and Yangpu District Governments have built a modern campus covering over 17,000 square meters with the built area at 30,000 square meters. As a result, it has become the new school in Binjiang area with leading facilities in Shanghai. The school will follow the philosophy of “outstanding in Binjiang and everyone is brilliant” and uphold the principle of “integration, innovation and excellence”.
