Recently, the opening ceremony for the “119” fire control education was held at Changyang Campus, providing Yangpu residents an opportunity to know more about fire control and fire-fighting.
Apart from the above-mentioned fire-fighting exercise, there were also areas on the site set up for the display of fire-fighting vehicles and equipment and a smart recharging system for electronic bicycles, and in another area, people could acquire knowledge about fire-fighting and have VR fire-fighting experiences. A theme exhibition was also held to showcase the achievements after carrying out President Xi’s instructions given to the National Comprehensive Fire-fighting and Rescue Team a year ago. Moreover, the district fire brigade had cooperated with Bilibili and produced an animation called Yanyan Fire Brigade, which proved very effective in fire control education.
After observing the well-organized fire-fighting exercise and seeing the latest fire-fighting tools, Ms. Chen, a Shanghai citizen, said approvingly, “With such a well-equipped and well-trained fire brigade guarding our city, we feel very secured.” Ms. Chen also said that she had learnt something very useful, such as ways of escaping from a fire, basic knowledge about reporting a fire, the usage of fire extinguishers, etc.
