Recently a delegation led by Peng Song, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Committee of Pudong New Area and Executive Deputy Director of the Shanghai Municipal Office of Technology Innovation Center Construction (SMOTICC) has conducted a survey of Yangpu's key technology innovation projects, including the construction of "AI+" Park in Changyang Campus and Riverside Demonstration Section. Leaders of Yangpu District, including Li Yueqi, Xie Jian'gang and Zhao Liang accompanied the delegation for the survey. Hou Jin, Full-time Deputy Director of SMOTICC participated in the survey.

Peng fully recognized Yangpu's efforts on innovation drive and transformational development. He noted that Yangpu has initiatively integrated itself into the construction of Shanghai Technology Innovation Center, exerted the characteristic advantage of "tri-zone integration and integrated development", built the important supporting area of Shanghai Technology Center and become an important technology innovation front. In the next period, Yangpu should stimulate the endogenous power of university technology parks, perfect systems and mechanisms, focus on knowledge spillover, strengthen institutional supply, and advance the smoother transformation of technology achievements into realistic productive forces; should improve business environment, provide "one-stop" service to enterprises based on technology parks' platform functions such as technology achievement transformation, start-up enterprise incubation and innovation & start-up talent training, to enable enterprises to go through formalities in parks; should give full play to the regional feature of Yangpu in serving the national strategy of integration of the Yangtze River Delta, deepen the mechanism of the Yangtze River Delta Alliance of Innovation & Entrepreneurship Demonstration Bases, strengthen base collaboration in innovation R&D, integrated application, achievement transformation and intellectual property, and push forward the formation of a technology transfer and trading market targeting the Yangtze River Delta and the country; and should advance the development of the AI industry, focus on building "smart scenes", encourage enterprises to first apply the latest technologies, products and services in Yangpu, and strive to build Yangpu Campus into an AI application demonstration point featuring "AI+" Park in Shanghai.

Xie noted that, under the strong leadership of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, Yangpu is advancing the construction of a national innovative urban area, the important supporting area of Shanghai Technology Innovation Center and a national innovation & entrepreneurship demonstration base. With focus on the construction of innovative block construction, Yangpu will constantly break the boundaries of campuses, parks and communities, advance the construction of four innovation & entrepreneurship blocks: Knowledge & Innovation Community, Guoding East Road, Changyang Road and USST Rim, promote the constant integration of technology innovation with urban renewal, create a pattern of innovation & entrepreneurship space development featuring "western core zone + central improvement zone + eastern strategic zone" in the area, and strive to be a place where innovation is most active and entrepreneurship is most likely to succeed in Shanghai and China.
