On October 18, the deployment meeting for the 9th Shanghai·Yangpu Global "Entrepreneurship Star" Competition was held. 35 parks, focused incubators, channel units, state-owned enterprises, and relevant functional departments from across the district gathered at the Shanghai Academician Style Gallery to jointly strategize for the competition.

The "Entrepreneurship Star" Competition is an important measure for Yangpu to assist in building a high-level talent highland in Shanghai. It is reported that this year's "Entrepreneurship Star" Competition has been significantly optimized and upgraded compared to the previous eight editions, mainly by adding three "new" contents on the basis of the original event, releasing a stronger magnetic field to global talents.

The first "new" is the opening of a new track. For the first time, this competition has included high-quality content creators from the Internet into the event selection scope. In recent years, Yangpu has fully implemented the "chain leader system" for focused industry chains, attracting and introducing leading Internet enterprises such as Meituan, BILIBILI, and Douyin, injecting "young" vitality into the development of the urban area. As an important branch of Internet development, the influence of high-quality Internet content creators cannot be ignored. Including them in the event selection scope can help more "seeds" take root in Yangpu.

The second "new" is the creation of a new pattern. It is reported that this year's "Entrepreneurship Star" Competition has further expanded its event scope to cover innovation and entrepreneurship hotspots in North America, Europe, Asia, and domestic cities, introducing more high-quality global projects to Yangpu. In terms of event activities, this competition also launched the "overseas tour" and "domestic tour" special events for the first time, enhancing the competition's influence through symposiums, promotional meetings, and meet-ups. In addition, it also set up enterprise special events for the first time, partnering with well-known enterprises such as BILIBILI to hold thematic competitions, extending its "tentacles" to the most economically active veins.

The third "new" is the creation of a new ecosystem. According to a relevant person in charge from the district talent work bureau, the outstanding award-winning projects of this year's "Entrepreneurship Star" Competition can enjoy the office space subsidies, talent settlement, and more than ten supporting policies of the Yangpu "3310" talent plan. Through the first-time influx of market-oriented direct investment funds, financial support is provided for the linkage of the competition.

It is worth mentioning that the competition has also opened up a new path for event collaboration, fully connecting with events such as the Shanghai "Gathering Global Talents" Competition, "Chunhui Cup," and "Stay in Shanghai." Projects that meet the corresponding conditions can directly enter the semifinals or finals.
