On the last day of 2024, Theatre YOUNG will ring in the New Year with a special concert featuring the young and talented composer and music producer, A Kun. He will present his "music universe" - a collection of iconic scores from hit films like The Wandering Earth and Pegasus 2, as well as from the documentary A Bite of China, the TV series Royal Nirvana, and the film Into the Mortal World. A Kun will conduct a unique collaboration, blending live performances with symphony orchestras worldwide and a virtual Midi symphony orchestra, creating a trans-regional, multi-dimensional musical experience across time and space.

On December 28 and 29, Theatre YOUNG joined forces with Polaris Youth to stage the "ENCORE" garden party, infusing the winter season with a rich cultural ambiance. The theater's outdoor square was transformed into a vibrant space for a series of themed activities that expanded the concept of a "boundless" theater experience. The "Colorful Fireworks ENCORE" art installation, created in partnership with the Waste Research Institute, featured seven pillars adorned with play posters, inviting visitors to relive the theater's most memorable performances. The theater square became a hub for a variety of performances lasting five hours, including music, dance, tai chi, and improvisational comedy, while a trendy market, the "Return to the 1970s/80s" Fashion Show, music sharing, and more made the event a celebration of youth.

After over two years of operation, Theatre YOUNG has become a new cultural landmark in northeast Shanghai, with its focus on "youthfulness", "theater", and "boundlessness". It hosts nearly 250 performances and 150 events each year, drawing more than 140,000 visitors, with post-90s audiences making up over 64%. This has injected a fresh, energetic vibe into the "Kongjiang" area featuring workers' communities.

Moving forward, Theatre YOUNG aims to develop into a hub of plays and a catalyst for changes, integrating resources, pooling efforts, and sparking creativity to enhance the positive impact and transformative power of artistic institutions. This initiative is set to enrich Yangpu's cultural atmosphere and promote the integrated development of culture, commerce, tourism, sports, and exhibitions.
