Join "Street Duck" for Stroll on Daxue Road August 26,2024
On August 24, Yangpu collaborated with Xiaohongshu to deliver the 2nd Street Life Festival. Renowned international graffiti artist Mr. Doodle created a mini "Street Duck" installation, inspired by the Huangpu River, which made its debut on Daxue Road in Yangpu District.
Celebrating life as a festival, the Xiaohongshu Street Life Festival, one of the seven iconic events of the "Shanghai Summer" International Consumption Season, will run until September 1. A central marketplace and five distinctively themed streets have been revitalized with decorations, featuring over 200 themed activities set to take place across Shanghai's streets in quick succession.
Yangpu's Daxue Road has been themed as a "photogenic street", where Xiaohongshu has installed various interactive photo spots and limited-time painted zebra crossings on weekends, enticing young fashion enthusiasts to capture and share their experiences, enhancing the weekend's leisurely exploration of the street.
The festival has also generated a fresh influx of visitors for the businesses along Daxue Road. From August 23 to September 1, a variety of exciting events have been introduced to encourage visitors to indulge in the artistic and trendy atmosphere of Yangpu's summer streets.
Ayo Park is offering a 12% discount for customers who check in and post on Xiaohongshu. "Beyond the increase in visitors and sales, we also value the face-to-face interaction opportunities with fans and consumers brought by the Street Life Festival," said the head of Ayo Park.
In addition, to enhance the interaction between consumers and businesses, Xiaohongshu has introduced engaging activities such as stamp collection and check-in. Users can share their experiences in notes and, by scanning a QR code, automatically link to the business's geographic location (POI) information, allowing others to easily find the store and join in the interaction.
"I hope the Street Life Festival can further fuel consumption, invigorate youth culture, and showcase the positive and upward spirit of Chinese youth, thereby generating more value for the Xiaohongshu community, our users, the city and the society, and helping Shanghai create a new urban brand," said Bai Ban, Head of Xiaohongshu's Marketing Department.
Transitioning from an online community to the real world, Yangpu's "festival map" will keep evolving, linking one intersection to the next on these "little streets".
