Discovering Charm of Yanji Xincun Neighborhood in Meaningful Red Citywalk December 12,2024
As the people's city concept marks its 5th anniversary and Yanji Xincun Sub-district celebrates its 40th anniversary, a well-organized walking event spanning multiple residential areas recently took place. This event ingeniously incorporated a red Party building initiative, engaging residents in a delightful manner to deepen their understanding of Party organizations' services for the public and to inspire more Party members and people to engage in community governance.
The "Neighborhood Rose Garden" in Yanji Qicun was the second stop of the "Red Citywalk Exploration Tour". With unique charm, the garden captivated the interest of many young "Little Grid Leaders". Within this garden, a variety of alley games were designed to not only preserve community culture but also to nurture a sense of belonging and responsibility among children, enhancing their well-being and bolstering community unity.
At the event, 16 children, dressed in the uniform attire of "Little Grid Leaders", became a vibrant spectacle within the community, engaging in exploration and play with relish. The citywalk's exploration segment allowed the children to learn about their community while experiencing its environment. Games like the lively and entertaining hopping game in the "Neighborhood Rose Garden" not only provided physical exercise but also fostered friendships among the children. By engaging in these traditional games, the children gained insights into the community's rich history and cultural legacy.
Residents from Yanji Qicun and other residential areas were invited to join this walking event. As they collected their participation stamps, they were exposed to the unique charm of various Party building initiatives, fostering collaboration and dialogue on Party building efforts across different residential areas. This event not only enriched the children's understanding of their community but also promoted the integrated development of Party building efforts among the sub-district's diverse residential areas. It leveraged mutual strengths and collective enhancement, invigorating the establishment of a community governance framework that emphasizes joint contribution, co-governance, and shared benefits. This has significantly contributed to the creation of a more joyful, harmonious, and secure living environment for all residents.
The event surpassed its educational objectives and garnered extensive acclaim from the community. The children reveled in laughter and learning through play, and the success of the "Red Citywalk" and "Little Grid Leaders" adventure not only provided a platform for the children to express themselves and develop but also represented a successful practice of innovative community governance, laying a robust foundation for creating an even more harmonious and delightful community life.
