The 2025 World Design Cities Conference will take place in Shanghai from September 25 to 28, 2025. As the core functional area for the "City of Design" activity, Yangpu District plans to host a series of events under the Yangpu International Design Festival during this period, including the 2025 Pan-Tongji Design Week, the "Two AIs: Artistic Intelligence and Digital Intelligence Design Works Exhibition Tour, and the opening ceremony.

The Pan-Tongji Design Week is one of the most influential global platforms for design innovation and exchange, jointly organized by Tongji University and the Yangpu District People's Government. It is also a vivid practice and significant outcome of university-district collaboration. Under the framework of the fourth round of comprehensive strategic cooperation between the two sides, the 2025 Pan-Tongji Design Week will set off again as an important part of the World Design Cities Conference, with "New Ecosystem" as the core theme. It will focus on three main areas: intelligent innovation, exchange and cooperation, and sustainable development, aiming to redefine the future role of design.

Comprising nine activities, the Pan-Tongji Design Week will take place at different times at multiple venues, including Show Bund and Tongji University.
