Health Alerts Issued across Country as Influenza Remains Prevalent, Meituan Medicine Launches Anti-Flu Service Zone February 10,2025

Recently, health authorities in several cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, and Wuhan, have issued alerts that influenza and other respiratory infectious diseases remain prevalent. Residents are advised to take personal protective measures when traveling.

According to the Meituan Medicine Health Index, the influenza A index in cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen has shown a slight upward fluctuation. Meituan Medicine reported that on February 4, the sales of both Baloxavir Marboxil and Oseltamivir increased by more than double compared to the previous week. However, the overall positive detection rate of influenza A in rapid home tests has decreased compared to before the Spring Festival.

"After a respiratory infection occurs, it is crucial to quickly identify the cause and start symptomatic treatment as early as possible," said experts from Meituan Medicine's instant consultation service. They noted that the first 48 hours after the onset of influenza are the "golden period" for medication. If infected with the influenza virus, timely antiviral treatment can effectively suppress the viral load, alleviate symptoms, and shorten the recovery period.

To address the urgent needs of influenza patients, Meituan Medicine has launched an online service zone titled "Responding to Influenza with Scientific Medication". This zones a comprehensive suite of services, including one-stop rapid home testing, online medical consultation, and 24-hour drug delivery, to ensure that influenza patients can access timely treatment within the critical 48-hour window. Currently, the supply of influenza medications, including Baloxavir Marboxil and Oseltamivir, is relatively stable on the platform, allowing residents to purchase these drugs as needed.
