Recently, the Party History Study and Education Knowledge Contest for Retired Cadres in Xinjiangwancheng Community was held in the Party-Masses Service Center of the Community. A total of 14 teams from Party organizations for retired cadres and functional Party organizations for retired cadres in the residential quarters participated in the contest to review the glorious course of the Party, eulogize its great achievements and greet its centennial birthday in this special way. Tan Jianzhong, deputy director of the Bureau for Retired Veteran Cadres of Yangpu District Party Committee, and Fu Zhiqiang, deputy director of the People's Congress Working Committee of Xinjiangwancheng Neighborhood, attended the activity and delivered speeches.

The knowledge contest was held focusing on the study and education of Party history, General Secretary Xi Jinping's speeches and the Party Constitution. In the must-answer session, all teams, having fully prepared for the contest, presented their answers quickly and correctly and the scores were very close. After nearly one hour of fierce competition, the three leading teams finally had to enter to the play-off because of a tie.

After fierce competition, the Party branch of retired cadres of Jiangwan International Apartment Residential Quarters won the first prize, the Party branch of retired cadres in Shangjingyuan Residential Quarters won the second prize, and the Party group of retired cadres in Guo’an Road Residential Quarters won the third prize. Tan Jianzhong and Fu Zhiqiang presented awards and expressed congratulations to the winning teams respectively and their thanks to all the contestants for their careful preparation and active participation.

Recently, on behalf of the Neighborhood, Mou Jianqiang, Hu Jufeng and Zhang Fenghua participated in the final competition of the Party History Knowledge Contest for Retired Cadres in Communities in Yangpu District and won the Excellence Prize.

After the contest, all agreed that the century-old history of the Party is an inexhaustible spiritual treasure-house and also an inexhaustible source of strength. Through the knowledge contest, they have not only received honors and rewards, but more importantly, reviewed history and strengthened their beliefs, confidence and determination to follow the Party and always play the leading role of Party members.
