Recently, the 8th Tour Steering Group for Party History Learning and Education of the Municipal Party Committee and the 5th Tour Steering Group of the District Party Committee visited Dinghai Road Sub-district to provide guidance. Wu Wanli, deputy head of the 8th Tour Steering Group, Liu Dongchang, member of the Standing Committee of Yangpu District Party Committee and director of Yangpu Publicity Department, Chen Gengbao, head of the 5th Tour Steering Group, and Chen Guofeng, deputy head of the Group, attended the tour.

The two roving steering groups gained a comprehensive understanding of the Party history study and education work of Dinghai Road Sub-district through on-site investigations, listening to reports, and consulting materials. 

Chen Gengbao presided over the special briefing on tour guidance. At the meeting, Li Ying, secretary of the Sub-district Party Working Committee and director of the NPC Working Committee, made a special report. Members of the two groups, members of all sub-district staff, heads of departments, representatives of Party branch secretaries in residential areas, representatives of Party organization secretaries of the "two new" organizations (new economic organizations and new social organizations) and representatives of young Party members attended the briefing.

Wu Wanli fully affirmed the achievements made in Party history study and education by Dinghai Road Sub-district at the present stage, and pointed out that the study and education is highly targeted and innovative; Dinghai Road Sub-district digs deep into the red historical resources, and devotes itself to the old house renovation and epidemic prevention and control work, doing practical things for the people.

He put forward requirements for the next stage of Party history study and education:

First, have a deep understanding of the great significance of carrying out Party history education at the intersection of two centuries. According to the requirements of the Municipal Party Committee's roving guidance, review and summarize to find shortcomings, and lay a solid foundation for the next stage of work. 

Second, conscientiously study and discuss the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's "July 1" important speech and achieve six profound understandings: deeply understanding the great significance of the "July 1" important speech; deeply understanding the historical achievements of building a well-off society in an all-round way; deeply understanding the glorious course and great achievements of the Party's unity and leading the people's unremitting struggle; deeply understanding the profound connotation and the value of the times of the great Party building spirit; deeply understanding the fundamental requirements of taking history as a mirror and creating the future; and deeply understanding the great call issued by Xi Jinping on behalf of the CPC Central Committee.

Third, pay attention to learning the Party history from the original materials, innovate the ways and means of learning the Party history, and strengthen the classified guidance. Give full play to the red resources of Dinghai, carry out multi-faceted publicity through various positions, and create a strong learning atmosphere. Give full play to the fine traditions of the Party, talk about stories around us, focus on the changes that have taken place around the residents, and publicize the great achievements of the Party. 

Fourth, do practical things well, turn love for the people into actions to serve the people, and establish a long-term mechanism to solve people's livelihood problems. Transform the spirit of Xi's "July 1" important speech into a powerful driving force for work, and combine the study of Party history with the transformation and development of Dinghai, with the team building and cadre team building.

Before the meeting, Liu Dongchang and the two roving guidance groups visited the Party-masses Service Station of Yangshupu Post International Fashion Center and the Neighborhood Kitchen of Longchang Road successively to understand the characteristics and highlights of Party history study and education in the Dinghai. The Party-masses Service Station with the theme of "Model Worker Spirit" is the first Party-masses Service Station established at the cruise terminal, which was officially put into operation in June this year. And Longchang Road Neighborhood Kitchen is favored by residents within the jurisdiction, serving three meals a day with no less than 30 kinds of dishes, which is the concrete achievement of Dinghai's combination of learning Party history with doing practical things for the people.

Subsequently, the two groups held a symposium for grass-roots representatives, and checked relevant work records on Party history study and education of the Dinghai Party Working Committee.
