To enhance communication and exchange between Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Macao, and to fulfill their duties earnestly, Zhao Guorong, a member of the CPPCC representing Yangpu District in Hong Kong and Macao, and President of the Hong Kong-Shanghai Yangpu-Macao Federation, led a delegation of seven members to visit Yangpu from March 26th to 30th. Xue Kan, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee and Mayor of the District, and Tai Xun, Secretary of the Party Group and Chairman of the District CPPCC, personally met with Zhao Guorong and his delegation. They were accompanied by Dong Xinwang, Standing Committee Member of the District and Minister of the United Front Work Department, as well as Ming Yi, Vice Chairman of the District CPPCC.

During the visit, Zhao Guorong and his delegation embarked on a comprehensive itinerary, starting with visits to the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall and the Memorial Hall of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China. Here, they delved into the historical roots of the Communist Party of China, gained insight into the spirit of unity and struggle, and appreciated the achievements of Shanghai's urban planning and construction. Subsequently, they explored Yangpu Riverside, Interconnection Baoji Park, and the headquarters of the Meituan Group, where they learned about Yangpu's latest development and the regional growth opportunities. They were impressed by the implementation of the vital concept of "people's city, built for the people" in Yangpu. Moreover, they visited landmarks like the Yangpu District Library and Fuxing Island Park Party Service Station to experience Yangpu's urban ambiance and cultural heritage. Lastly, they participated in the "Tide of the Pujiang River, 'Yang' Sail!" - 2023 Hong Kong entrepreneurs into Yangpu activities. They actively contributed advice and wisdom towards the economic and social development of Yangpu.

Zhao Guorong expressed gratitude to the District Political Consultative Conference and the United Front Work Department of the District Party Committee for their warm reception and the significance they attached to the visit. He remarked on the considerable insights gained during the trip, expressing admiration for the remarkable achievements of Shanghai and Yangpu.
