From August 28 to 29, under the support of Bian Jun, Honorary Advisor of Yangpu Overseas Friendship Association and President of Sydney Shanghai Chamber of Commerce and other Australian overseas Chinese leaders, the Australian University Students' Study Group on Shanghai Digital Economy Enterprises, which consisted of nearly 30 teachers and students from the University of New South Wales of Australia, came to Yangpu to learn about the high-tech digital economy enterprises in Shanghai and Yangpu through learning, touring, seeing and hearing, experience the achievements of the economic and social development of Shanghai and Yangpu and feel the cultural environment of Shanghai.

Sha Hailin, President of Shanghai Public Relations Association, and Xie Jihua, Chairman of Shanghai Bay Valley Science and Technology Park, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches, warmly welcoming overseas Chinese youths to return to their country of origin to study, have a tour of investigation, start a business and live.

Mr. Dong Xinwang, member of the Standing Committee of the District CPC Committee, Head of the United Front Department and President of Yangpu Overseas Friendship Association, delivered a welcome speech. He said that scientific and technological innovation promotes the transformation and upgrading of "Industrial Yangpu" into "Innovative Yangpu", and urban renewal promotes the transformation of "rust belt" into "life show belt". Yangpu has become a hot spot for entrepreneurship, employment and living for outstanding talents from home and abroad. Under the guidance of the important concept of people's city, Yangpu will strive to build a "talent show belt" for the people's city, and as always, to gather talented people at home and abroad by supporting young talents to build, pursue and fulfill their dreams in Yangpu. Ling Wen, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, gave a keynote speech on "Down-to-earth and Stargazing - Concentration and Crossover" at the opening ceremony.

During the two days, the students went into the Bay Valley Science and Technology Park, visited the Shanghai Command Center of Meituan and Luoman Lighting Technologies Inc., and gained a lot from the lively interaction. Everyone said that within a short time, they have appreciated the charm of Yangpu's digital economy, which can be characterized by "professional + innovation", "retail + technology", "lighting + creativity", and truly felt that Yangpu's online new economy is gathering and innovative entrepreneurial talents are gathering. The city has been built in many different ways and has unlimited potential for future development.
