In the showcase of the British Museum in London, England quietly lies Utopia written by Moore and published in 1516. Also left on the floor of the reading room of the museum were the thick footprints of a great man Marx, who fought for the cause of human liberation all his life, and transformed socialism from Utopia to science. The theory of socialism has had an extensive and profound influence on the world and China.

At the Celebration Conference on the 95th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, China in 2016, General Secretary Xi Jinping declared to the world: under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, the Chinese people have won great victory. That demonstrates that the socialist theory, proposed 500 years ago, has opened up a practical and feasible path in the world's most populous country, and enabled scientific socialism to come into life in the 21st century.

In the face of all kinds of trials and difficulties, the Communist Party of China, an indomitable pathfinder and courageous pioneer, led the Chinese people to explore a Chinese path, which was steep and magnificent, laborious and broad. The Chinese communists were as persevere as Yugong (ancient Chinese mythological character) who moved mountains, and as dedicated as Jingwei (ancient Chinese mythological character) who reclaimed the sea. The road of socialism with Chinese characteristics is the fundamental achievement made by the Party due to the struggle, creation and accumulation by the people and the Party in the past 100 years. It is also a wide free road to lead China's progress, enhance people's well-being and realize national rejuvenation.

This is a journey during which the Party reversed the fate of the nation and wrote miracles in the history. As a Chinese poem goes, where hills bend, streams wind and the pathway seems to end; past dark willows and flowers in bloom lies another village. In the same vein, when China was in dilemma, Marxism brought China "a bright future". Since then, the Communist Party of China has been practicing saving China with the help of Marxism. In order to overthrow the "three mountains", the Party led the people to create a revolutionary road by encircling the cities from the countryside and seizing power by armed forces. In the end, the Party established a new China. In order to change backwardness and poverty, we established a new socialist system, as well as an independent and relatively complete industrial system and national economic system. After summing up experience, we embarked on the great voyage of reform and opening up, which greatly liberated and developed the productive forces. To achieve the goal of national rejuvenation in the changing world pattern, we firmed our ideals and beliefs and maintained our strategic determination. Focusing on upholding and developing socialism with Chinese characteristics, we improved the overall layout and established the strategic layout, leading the Chinese nation to realize a great leap from standing up to becoming rich and strong.

This is a journey during which the Party seeks to put the people in the highest position, win popular support, follow the will of the people, and benefit the people. This is an innovative journey during which the Chinese people explored the building of modernization in an economically and culturally backward country. Modernization is the historical trend of the world in modern times, and also reposes the expectation of Marxist pioneers for an ideal society. The Party led the people to complete the industrialization process in several decades which took developed countries hundreds of years. It has also opened up a Chinese-style modernization, providing a new choice for the modernization of human society. The Chinese-style modernization is characterized by coordinated material civilization and spiritual civilization, common prosperity for all the people, harmonious coexistence between man and nature, and peaceful development.

This is a forging journey during which the Party always maintains the revolutionary spirit and leads the great social revolution through the Party's self-revolution. Lenin noted that there is no weapon other than organization in the struggle of the proletariat for political power. In order to unite China, which was once fragmented, we must rely on a disciplined Marxist political party with ideals. To strive for magnificent goals and laborious tasks, we must keep the advanced nature and purity, as well as the creativity and combat effectiveness of the Party. The Party guided the direction of progress, and assumed the historical responsibility at every critical moment, such as in the Gutian Conference, the Zunyi Conference, the Yan'an Rectification Movement, the Second Plenary Session of the 7th CPC Central Committee where "Two Musts" was proposed, and in implementing the great project and the new great project.... The Party, which upholds the truth, is willing to correct mistakes and lead the people to climb over numerous mountains and win one victory after another. In March 2021, Gennady Zyuganov (Геннадий Зюганов), chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, wrote in Pravda: "The experience of the Communist Party of China has proved that the failure of socialism at the end of the 20th century is not the "failure of Utopian socialist plan" that all kinds of anti-Communists always talk about...
