In order to further study the century-old history of the Communist Party of China, realize the power of truth, and promote the study and education of the history of the Communist Party of China in the investment promotion system, the Party Committee of Yangpu District Investment Promotion Office recently held the 43^rd special lecture under the Gongxuetang pilot program titled "Historical Contribution and Experience in Economic Construction Based on the Century-old History of the Communist Party of China", inviting Wang Guoping, former executive vice president of the Party School of Shanghai Municipal Party Committee, president of Shanghai Marx Research Association and professor of Economics, as the guest lecturer. Chen Xin, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Yangpu District Investment Promotion Office, presided over the meeting. More than 120 people attended the meeting, including all the cadres and workers of Yangpu District Investment Promotion Office, secretaries of grass-roots Party branches of the investment promotion system in the district, chairmen and main leaders of trade unions as well as probationary Party members.

Prof. Wang summarized the valuable experience accumulated in the Party's century-old course from the historical contributions and experience of the Party's economic construction in different periods, and encouraged the people present to keep in mind our initial mission and start a new journey of building a socialist modernized country in an all-round way in high spirits.

The people present agreed that Prof. Wang's lecture was interesting, detailed and targeted, saying that after the activity we will learn from history and strive to be more reasonable, confident and down-to-earth. First, we should learn from the history of the Party according to our actual conditions, consolidate our political stand, and constantly improve our political judgment, understanding and execution. Second, we should build up our ideals and beliefs, further enhance "Four Consciousnesses", strengthen "Four Self-confidences" and realize "Two Safeguards". Third, we should apply what we have learned into practice, combine learning the history of the Party with investment promotion and serving the economy, and make every effort to achieve the annual economic goal and tasks, thus greeting the 200^th anniversary of the founding of the Party with outstanding achievements!
