Readers No Longer Alone with WeChat
With the quickening of the pace of modern life and the increase in social efficiency, to acquire enough knowledge in the fast-developing society, readers should not only absorb knowledge from traditional paper books, but also seek more convenient ways to learn through new reading carriers.

On September 7, Pingliang Road Sub-district Library organized WeChat reading training, with the participation of more than 30 readers.

Ms. Xue, a head of the library hosted the training. She introduced the WeChat cultural service launched by Shanghai Library (SHL) and Tencent. Readers need only to open WeChat without following SHL's account, to directly access its services via WeChat City Service, including book retrieval and borrowing, online reading, lecture reservation, exhibition following, etc.

The training focused on online reading readers are most interested in. Readers gave strong response after the training. Particularly, some elderly readers just learned to use WeChat. Through the training, they can not only read on WeChat, but share book reviews with each other.
